NVM Minutes uses the Web Speech APIbuilt into Chrome, which sends audio to Google's speech service to be recognised — that step is how any browser transcription works, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we control, we keep minimal: your transcripts are written to your own device and never to a server of ours, no audio file is ever saved, and there are no accounts, no analytics and no telemetry.
